NYC in January

"We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies."- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today was a no-work day for me, which was a huge blessing as I have felt so tired and low on energy lately. Maybe this is because I am still recovering from the holidays, or because it is winter and all the cold weather makes me want to hibernate. While I had hoped to just relax and sleep in, I have a very hard time sitting still and always feel like I need to keep busy. So, naturally I woke up before the sun rose, went to the gym (rare occurance) and then spent the rest of the day exploring different parts of Manhattan. I've realized that it can be difficult to get out and see things when I live here, so I am trying to intentionally see new parts of the city as much as I can.

Here are a few pics I snapped throughout the day.
