Although I don't mind taking the subway, most of the time I prefer to walk. Since we live on the west side of Manhattan (wayyy upper west), when we find ourselves on the east side, we tend to just walk right across and take in all the sights. For these photos we were exploring the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and walked right across Stanton St and Prince St and up to the West Village. I'm not sure why I am finding it necessary to write down the exact directions, but the point is, walking across and around Manhattan is very do-able! Did you know the max width of Manhattan is 2 miles? Totally walk-able in my opinion! :)
