Summer is soon coming to an end in New York and I am the saddest Eeyore all around. Despite the musty, humid, smelly subways, the crazies yelling across the sidewalks, the mass crowd of tourists, and arriving everywhere with a thin sheet of sweat across my face, I enjoy summer in the city and wish it would stay as long as possible. I love the long days, eating ice cream and drinking smoothies, bringing color back into my wardrobe, and long evening walks with my husband after work, that sometimes end up at our favorite local bar and restaurant. Now that fall is fast approaching, he is headed back to night classes in addition to working full time soI no longer have him all to myself in the evenings.
I try to stay positive though, and with a new season comes cooler weather, boot season, scarf season, sweater season, pumpkins, apple ciders, warm soups, changing leaf colors, and fall baking!! We are also one step closer to Christmas and the Holiday season...but who's counting??
