It had been awhile since we had a good Central Park walk so this weekend, with the weather being a lovely sunny low 80s, we took advantage of it. But first on Friday, we walked one of our favorite parks, the High Line, after stumbling into a free modern art gallery in Chelsea. As expensive as NYC can be, there is no shortage of free fun things to do, especially in the summer!
We then ate at Fatty Crab, which was absolutely amazing. Seriously everything we ordered was incredible. They serve small plates, and it is meant to be shared family style. We ordered the soft shell crab, roasted eggplant, steamed pork buns, and seasoned chicken bites. I am going to try to recreate that eggplant dish sometime soon.
Saturday was our long walk through Central Park (like 6 miles total or something to that effect.) we explored Shakespeare's garden which, if imaginable, is even more beautiful in spring. Saturday night we went to a party with friends and then all headed to a cool bar in our neighborhood--The Wallace. Harlem is where it's at. : D I'm thinking of doing a small guide to it soon...stay tuned!
Now it's raining in NYC (a good thing, because I love when it rains) but I'm stuck on a very delayed and crowded train and running late to work (a bad thing). Happy Tuesday all!
